Julia Roberts Compares Social Media to Cotton Candy
Julia Roberts will grace the cover of Marie Claire’s December issue. In the issue, the beautiful actress poses in a men’s shirt and dishes on her career, motherhood, and social media.
“I think the reason I’ve been able to enjoy my career is that I always knew, for some reason –- even when it was about getting a job to pay your bills and stuff –- I always knew that it will surface, it will come,” Roberts explains to the magazine. “The things that are correct for me will come to me at the time that I am interested in them and have the capacity, the understanding, to do them.”
Roberts stars in “August: Osage County” which hits theaters in in December and is already getting a lot of Oscar buzz. However, despite the excitement around the aware show season, Roberts admits she’s not as concerned about taking home a golden statue as she once was. In the interview, she also discussed social media:
“It’s kind of like cotton candy,” Roberts says of social media. “It looks so appealing and you just can’t resist getting in there, and then you just end up with sticky fingers and it lasted an instant.”
Interesting comparison, but who can argue with Julia Roberts. Whatever she says is the law.
