Lisa Kudrow Wants Friends to Come Back for a Full Season
If you’re not a Friends fan, no one believes you exist. Everyone loves and loved the show for the 10 seasons it ran and the 10 years since it’s been off the air, and Lisa Kudrow, 51, just did a question and answer segment on Reddit in which she revealed just how much she loved playing Phoebe and how much she loved the show. She also spills a long-kept secret about which of her Friends co-stars was the funniest off-set.
“See, now, 20 people would be insulted…but because I spent 10 years laughing hysterically at Matthew Perry. Off-set, it’s Matthew Perry. And not laughing at him, laughing with him, sorry!” she confessed in the interview. She also opens up about which episode was her favorite of all time, and the answer might come as a bittersweet surprise.
“My favorite was the Halloween party that Sean Penn appeared in. For a lot of reasons. Number one was it was the first show we shot after 9/11. And that whole week, while driving in LA, people would pull up, and give me a very sad look, and a quiet ‘thank you’ for making them laugh,” which we can all admit was a blessed and welcome relief in the days following that awful tragedy.
As far as wanting to reunite with the co-stars she actually sees quite regularly in real life, she’s totally on board.
“I’ll go for it. A whole season, because to spend that much time with those people again would be heaven,” she said when asked if she would be up for a reunion with her favorite Friends. Now that’s something I think fans of the show could get on board with. I see a letter-writing, social media campaign in the near future to bring back the show for a full season.
