New Michael Jackson Album Coming in May

Michael Jackson Announces Plans For Summer Residency At The O2 Arena

The King of Pop is back! Fans of one of the greatest pop artists of all-time have some new music to look forward to. Epic Records has teamed up with Michael Jackson’s estate to release XSCAPE, an album that will feature eight new tracks that have never been heard before from the King of Pop. In addition to the new songs, a deluxe edition will also be available that will include “all the sourced Michael Jackson’s recordings in their original form”.

Epic Records chairman L.A. Reid said, “Michael left behind some musical performances that we take great pride in presenting through the vision of music producers that he either worked directly with or expressed strong desire to work with. We are extremely proud and honored to present this music to the world.”

XSCAPE will be available for pre-order on April 1 on iTunes, and worldwide on May 13, 2014. Is this the last we hear from Michael Jackson? I highly doubt it. Expect to see more music from the Jackson estate for quite some time. While we love the music, it is in a way insulting to the late Michael Jackson that people will attempt to make money off of him. Now if the proceeds from his album go to charity – that’ll be different.
