Robert Downey Jr. is Bringing Back Iron Man
Since taking on the role as Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr. has been a busy man, and it seems as if he’s about to become even busier. The actor is currently talking with producers and directors to reprise his role as the super hero on the big screen again. This time, however, he’s not starring in his own movie. If he decides to take on the role again, he’ll be in the new Captain America 3. It was only a week ago that fans were disappointed when Downey Jr. announced that there will not be another Iron Man movie.
However, the highest paid actor in Hollywood did announce that he has other plans with Marvel, and that fans should not be disappointed in the fact that Iron Man is not coming back. During a visit with David Letterman last week, the actor had some teasers for his fans.
“There’s no plans for an Iron Man 4. They do have a plan and I think they’re gonna announce it. You know, they’re very secretive about it. But I’m gonna do other stuff with Marvel. I’m still going to be involved with Marvel and there’s gonna be plenty of fun stuff to happen,” he told Letterman. It appears that the announcement has been made. Downey Jr. is said to be in the midst of discussions to bring Iron Man to Captain America 3 alongside other famous superheroes such as Scarlett Johannson, Anthony Mackie and Jeremy Renner.
Additionally, Iron Man will be in theaters again in 2015 when Avengers: Age of Ultron makes its debut. The actor has a part in the movie that will please fans, which means they won’t have to wait too long to see their favorite actor back in action. His success with the role of Iron Man has caused Downey Jr. to become the highest paid actor in Hollywood. He makes millions each time he brings the hero to television.
