As one of the newest cast members of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Shannon Beador has jumped head first into one of the craziest and most entertaining reality TV franchises on TV. Although the women try their best to keep it classy, they often find themselves falling short, and slipping into some hard-core drama. Unlike some of the other Real Housewives series, the ladies in Orange County are a bit of a revolving door when it comes to cast members. With only one original cast member left, viewers have a hard time getting used to new comers, but with two seasons under her belt, Shannon Beador is holding her own.  But who is this bright-eyed blonde housewife? She loves Fung Shui

Shannon Beador is all about keeping things in order, so it should come as no surprise that she loves keeping her vibes in order as well. When it comes to her home, Shannon has been known to call in a Fung Shui expert, especially when one of her children was having trouble sleeping. According to Beador, “When my twins were born, my husband and I had to move our 3-year-old daughter into a new room. She screamed all night every night. We consulted doctor after doctor and finally Elaine was recommended to us. I was willing to give Feng Shui a try but my husband wasn’t. I called Elaine anyway and when she came to our home, my husband was so angry he would barely speak to Elaine. When she saw my daughter’s room, she immediately moved some furniture around and my daughter slept soundly from that night on…Our lives have drastically changed for the better since Elaine entered our life.”

Her husband has been arrested

The Real Housewives of Orange County are all about keeping things classy and top of the line, so you can imagine that any run-ins with the law are heavily frowned upon. Unfortunately for Shannon Beador, her husband, David, has had some legal troubles in the past. According to reports, David Beador was arrested for “Assault and Battery on a cohabitant.” Many are reading between the lines here and assuming that this means he got physical with his wife, but they’re both denying that he’s ever abused her.

Her house was the “largest in Bonita Canyon”

If you’ve ever seen The Real Housewives of Orange County, you probably remember the home that Shannon Beador was living in when she first came on the show. Well, as you probably noticed, it was a pretty big house, but what you probably didn’t know was that it was the largest house in all of Bonita Canyon. Unfortunately, Shannon Beador and her husband put their home up for sale a few months ago.

She’s all about living the organic life

Shannon Beador is one of those people who’s all about living a healthy and natural lifestyle, and this is something that she takes very seriously. Her need to eat – and do everything else – clean is bordering on obsessive, and it’s caused some of the other housewives to raise an eyebrow, but that hasn’t stopped her. When Shannon first joined the cast she stated, “I readily admit that I choose to live a lifestyle that is quite different from most people in Orange County and am looking forward to giving you a glimpse into my life!”

Her house has no wi-fi

Well apparently, not having wi-fi is part of living an organic lifestyle, because Shannon Beador doesn’t have wi-fi in her home. Yup, so just when you thought that people in Orange County were all about having the latest and greatest, Shannon Beador proves that sometimes that isn’t the case. It looks like her health is more important than sending a few emails.

She doesn’t allow her kids to eat cheddar cheese

That’s right, Shannon Beador has taken her organic lifestyle so far that she doesn’t allow her kids to eat cheddar cheese. Beador doesn’t want her children being subjected to the orange dyes in the cheese, but hopefully they never find out what they’re missing out on. If they do, there will be no going back.

She felt like one of her cast mates, Heather Dubrow, was hating on her house

The ladies of Orange County can be pretty competitive, especially when it comes to who has the most money or the biggest home. When Shannon Beador showed fellow housewife, Heather Dubrow her home, she wasn’t too pleased with Heather’s response. According to Beador, “Heather and I shared the same architect, builder, and designer for her previous home, so it was nice to finally meet her. We had a very pleasant visit, and I said goodbye to her hopeful that we would become future friends and neighbors. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and clearly a traditional home does not mesh with Heather’s style, but I personally associate traditional design aesthetic as timeless, classic, and elegant. I am proud of my “grandma” style because it does remind me of my grandmother, who was a woman of impeccable taste.” However, by now, Beador probably knows that downplaying things that don’t belong to her is just part of Heather’s style.

She doesn’t allow her kids to have cell phones

Hopefully her kids never leave the house without an adult, because Shannon Beador does not allow her children to have cell phones. Beador (and lots of other people) believes that cell phones are dangerous and can potentially pose long-term side effects. Better safe than sorry!

She has serious beef with Vicki Gunvalson

As the ONLY remaining original cast member, Vicki Gunvalson probably isn’t the person you want to mess with. However, in her two seasons on the show, Shannon Beador has managed to get on Vicki’s bad side. After questioning Vicki’s relationship with her boyfriend, Brooks, it looks like the two are at odds. While friendships in Orange County come and go, who knows how long this beef will last.

Her husband had an affair

Shannon Beador has been very open about her relationship troubles, and recently, her husband’s infidelity has been the topic of discussion. By the sounds of things, David’s affair was more serious than most, and he actually left his wife for a few weeks. According to Beador, “When David left me for those two weeks he would still come and pick the kids up from school. One day he handed Stella his wedding ring, and said, ‘Give this to your mother. I don’t want it anymore.’ That was a knife in my heart. I thought, ‘We’re never going to get back together.'” However, although the two hit a huge rough patch, Shannon says they’re back and better than ever.
