An Elimination and an Exciting Announcement on Monday’s Dancing with the Stars

Last night’s Dancing with the Stars proved to be an exciting night on television as the remaining stars and their dance pro partners danced for Halloween. There were zombies and spiders and scares, oh my! Additionally, it was the night that the stars teamed up for the first time for their debut team dances. There was also an elimination, which was the scariest part of the entire evening for each and every star on the floor.

At the end of the night, however, it was Antonio Sabato Jr. and Cheryl Burke who were sent packing, their trick or treat night ending on a less than thrilling note. It was no great surprise that the duo went home after being in the bottom two last week and scoring only 27 out of 40 points for their Viennese Waltz last night. According to judge Carrie Ann Inaba, “It makes me uncomfortable to watch you.” Ouch.

Other performers fared a bit better during their spooky performances, including Derek Hough and Bethany Mota who received an almost perfect score of 39, and Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson who scored a 36 out of 40. The rest of the night was a bit of a downer, with Michael Waltrip and Emma Slater coming in with a very low 20 of 40. On a good note, however, the night wasn’t a complete waste for the pros, and even if former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Alfonso Ribeiro didn’t lead the pack, he did lead the good news of the night with a very special announcement. He and his wife are expecting a baby! He made the announcement during the show, and it was met with excitement from his fellow stars, pros and even the judges and audience. Of course it was; baby news is always exciting news!
