Miranda Lambert and Tim McGraw Lead the Way for ACM Nominations
You know we are in the middle of awards season, right? And right in the middle of awards season is when the Country Music Awards drop. Few can deny it was a big year for country going mainstream. Keep in mind, I have no idea how this happened, but can admit it happened. Heck, you even have rappers rapping on country songs. Come on, NO ONE saw that coming. With all that in mind, time to name drop some ACM nominees.
The big names that are coming up more than any others on the list of nominations is Miranda Lambert and Tim McGraw. Seems the two are leading the charge with the most nominations for ACM’s than anyone else. With good reason, too. Both Miranda Lambert and Tim McGraw were huge movers and shakers in the country music scene for years. They were advocates for that kind of music back when very few mainstream listeners could appreciate it. That said, they are both up for leading vocalist in their respective genders.
Some other notable ACM nominations are, well, listed at Rolling Stone. I wont lie, I don’t know enough about country music to make it sound even remotely like I know what I am talking about right now. If I fooled you this long into the article, that is more on you than me.
