Who Was Sent Packing on Dancing with the Stars?

It was the week that all of America got to play the role of their favorite judge on Dancing with the Stars by, well, playing judge. America had the opportunity to be judge #4 this week, and they got a big kick out of doing just that. During the beginning of each day, the phone lines were open for approximately 2 minutes and 15 seconds so that viewers could call in and cast their vote – and it turns out that we pretty much agree with the professional judges.

It was the night the stars got to choose to dance to their “Most Memorable Night,” and the stories were danced to songs from the year of the star’s memory. Each one was a touching story of a lost loved one who meant something very special to each star. Well, except for Tommy Chong. He recounted the year he was thrown in jail. Touching, his story was not. Entertaining, his story was. Either way, it was certainly a memorable event in his life.

As the elimination drew nearer, many fans wondered if it would finally be the night that NASCAR’s Michael Waltrip would be eliminated. After all, most of us have figured him to be the star to go home as he’s close to the bottom each week. We can recount each of the star’s personal stories, but since they’re not all that noteworthy, we’ll stick to nothing what is worthy.

Best moment of the night goes to Alfonso Ribeiro. I’m not going to lie; the only reason we tuned in this season was to wait for the moment he would throw out “The Carlton” from his Fresh Prince of Bel-Air days, and he finally brought it back – and fans loved it! He ended up with a perfect 40.

There were a lot of good scores last night. But at the end of the night, only one star was at the bottom in terms of scores and that was Jonathan Bennett with a very low score of 24 after dancing for the mother he lost to cancer a year ago and the father he lost to the same disease only four months ago. Just above him on the list with a 25 was Michael Waltrip.

So who went home last night? In the end, America voted to save Bennett from the bottom, but Waltrip found himself back in the bottom two, this time with designer Betsey Johnson. And apparently it just wasn’t the NASCAR driver’s time to go. The designer was sent packing at the end of the show.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you to dancing, mostly to Tony, to my fans. This has been the best…It’s just been a trip!” she said to her fans as she ended her time on the reality show.
