Young threw himself a $300,000 birthday party, even though he knew his days playing for the NFL were numbered at the time. The final blow was when he took out a high interest $1.8 million dollar loan that he never repaid. The interest grew quickly to $2.5 million and a judge finally ordered his assets be seized. They took everything, leaving Young with a measly $60,000 to live on. To make some supplemental income, Young signs autographs for $59 each. He still owes over one million dollars.
